State Approves Jubilee Charter School

April 27, 2022 — The State of South Carolina approved the creation of an inventive new public school in Jasper County. The Jubilee Charter School will be 100% free, and open to all children. It aims to dramatically enrich the lives of its students.

A creation of the Jubilee Community Partnership, this new public charter school will be operated by the Meeting Street Schools network that already educates more than 2,000 South Carolina children every year—in Spartanburg and Charleston. Meeting Street is nationally acclaimed for enrolling at-risk children and boosting them to notable academic outcomes and life success.

The Jubilee Community Partnership is now acquiring land in eastern Jasper County where a permanent campus for the charter school will be built, along with an interim facility where the school will be launched in August 2023..

The Jubilee Charter School will open with just two grades—Pre-K4 and Kindergarten—and then add one additional grade of students every year. This will allow the school to build a superb teaching corps, develop close collaborations with parents, and develop a culture of high achievement among students. The school will eventually extend all the way to high-school graduation.

Enrollment for PK4 and Kindergarten children will open in the Spring of 2023. For some overview of the forthcoming school, click here.
